RnH took first place in the inaugral TriniGamers DotA League. They also left a five game winning streak in the record books. No doubt the mark to beat in 2007. We congratulate this team for their excellent organisation and determination throughout the league. 2006 League Champions: Fault, Cold Sheep, MG (c), Musa and Akira (Did not play) The first event of it's kind. Only limited to 3v3 as a result of local bandwith issues, tstt ftl. Eleven teams set out to win in this competition. After 20 games spread over four weeks we had ourselves a champion. Many teams dropped out during the league due to the ladder format. When faced with the fact that they could no longer win, they lost all motivation for playing. This is by far the closest thing to failure we've faced in our events. Despite this being our first effort at an online competition, we will be making major changes for 2007. |

Most players knew each other from playing online on our gamer server. The community that started out as a few friends playing a couple games each day evolved into over 35 players per night. Not even sleep or sunrise could stop it. For the first time many of us were meeting in real life. eXcalibur - 2005 DotA Tournament Champions: Lt. Jinx, Snake, Pweffy, Silverhawk, Paradoxxx (c) and scaR presenting. After the mighty TyB Allstars fell in the semi-finals to a group of unknown players from Sangre Grande known as HYMC, it tore everything wide open. The ill forseen final of TyB Allstars vs. eX was no more. Who were they? How could they defeat the Allstars? The community was hit with a massive shockwave that left behind the distinctive smell of fear in it's wake. Perhaps a more dangerous opponent had risen. It was up to eX to represent for the 'server' community in the finals. After a carefully strategised and played game they perservered to win and become the first DotA champions in T&T. HYMC's semi-final stunner was their undoing as everyone had finally taken notice of their game plan. |
